    Strengthens the view that we are writing this season off.

    We are clearly improving at the back whilst the midfield pairing of Croasdale and Collar looks fairly solid. After that we have Rooney who scores either goal of the months contenders or sometimes penalties and Reid who has lacked his spark of late.

    Dalby and Cardwell are decent enough loanees. None are the answer to our difficulty in finding the back of the net. I would not be surprised if our DoF had brought them into the Club because their goal scoring records suggest they are in no wat better than what we have. I appreciate that with games coming thick and fast a larger squad is needed but our goals to chanes ratio is appalling. Bringing in players who average a couple a season is meant to achieve what exactly?

    Connor Jennings and Jordan Williams have been major let downs whilst Richie Bennett rarely attacks the ball when facing the goal. Adam Thomas can't get a look in. Walker and Newby are decent players but are they here to make up the numbers.

    Rusk knows we need a goal scorer and the shortage of anyone to hit the net frequently enough will define him as a Manager.
