Your mention of Alan Kirk got me thinking about Stockport County chairmen and the order in which they came. Managers are listed in the Clubs history books but not so much Chairmen - despite the big impact they inevitably have. I guess Brendan Elwood would be regarded as the most successful despite what happened at the end of his reign. Is Mark Stott going to eclipse him I wonder? He seems to be off to a good start.
