Prior to getting Premiership status it would be a case in the Championship of being a battle to survive, let alone prosper. Getting up would probably be a case of sneaking into the bottom of the playoffs.
After promotion and coming down with the cash, we could pay off Stott's investment if required and ensure EP and training facility are owned fully and free of any rent, mortgage. We could also use money around the team just to make us a stronger Championship club.
Sure at some point that would run out, but by then the ideal would be that we've started to buy and sell players that are a margin more expensive than we could before and thus profits from player sales goes up quite a bit and enables us to keep financing the club to a high degree.
Done correctly getting to the top-flight should make a club.
Get to the top-flight and you should really be aiming to long-term to be 2nd tier with possible occassional spell in the 1st and 3rd tier. Only get to the 2nd tier and long-term you'd be lookinh at 3rd tier with occassional spells in 2nd and 4th tier.
