Yes, have read a few about Barbarossa and Stalingrad. Have a friend whose Dad was on the Eastern front and survived. Was Ukrainian. Hopped over the wire in Italy (British guards turned a blind eye as they knew the oprisoners were going to be killed when handed over to Stalin) and then met my mate’s Mum in Italy. They then moved to Glasgow before settling in Brixton. The chance oF my mate being small were infinitesimally small. |
