Yes, we should never forget. The Longest Day was on earlier but missed it. One of the best films about D-Day perhaps only bettered by Saving Preivate Ryan. Interesting fact, the actor Richard Todd, auditioned to play himself in the film...but didn’t get the part. He played the officer leading the group that relieved the airborne chaos on one of the bridges, which was where he was during the war apparently. |
