I don't think covid will set any precedent at all for seasonal flu out breaks for a few reasons;
1. No one has an immunity to Covid 19 and there is no vaccine
2. Covid 19 is at least around 5 times more deadly than seasonal flu
3. We can and do vaccinate against flu and there are active programmes for elderly and vulnerable people
Covid-19 isn't just flu. Every country worldwide hasn't gone through this much economic and social hardship for nothing. The UK alone was facing 500,000 deaths if we did nothing (according to Imperial College). Even then, I think we are likely to still see 100,000 to 200,000 deaths in the UK alone, before this is all done with
