Taxing organisations excessively doesn't work, especially in a globalised economy.
Can't say companies should pay 15% more tax - especially larger corporations, as they will go elsewhere and take jobs and the tax receipts that go with that.
I think what there is a case for is ensuring large companies and multinationals actually pay tax or at least their fair share. Organisations like Amazon which would in multiple jurisdictions take the piss and get away with it.
No issue with the lower paid being kept out of tax, but the tax thresholds can be raised (further) before they pay income tax.
The effect of furloughing staff and the impact on economic output is absolutely immense and will double our national debt in a few months.
We will all end up having to pay this back - and I think this will hit everyone. Can see the basic and top rate of income tax being increased by 3% to 5%.
