I’m in favour of it being suspended for **as long as it needs to be** and then an assessment being made once it’s safe to restart. If that time is not far from now, it makes complete sense to finish off a season we’re 90% through. If it’s months and months away, it will perhaps make more sense to start afresh. But we cannot possibly make that judgement now. To do so would be absolutely ludicrously stupid, because it will screw over dozens and dozens of football clubs and there are no guarantees we could start or finish a new season either. In the meantime there will inevitably need to be a financial support package, but that’s entirely separate to which season we’re in. The contractual issues will apply regardless.
