I seem to have presented myself as a Commie ... that will make a few laugh on here as I have been suspected of being a boderline 'goose stepper' in the past
I agree about communisim, its a dead duck in the West and rightly so and for the reasons you indicate.
However ... I profoundly disagree with your asumption that it will be 'as you were' after. I truly belive that the biggest challange the worlds goverments face will be the aftermath of fear that will hang around populations for years after this. People are genuinly peering into the abyss with regards to all the usual societal norms and frameworks that have taken for granted. They will demand answers and changes on a scale never seen before after this. Take Italy ... think of the ripple effect of an average size family when they have a bereavement, close family, extended family and then friends and neighbours ... there are many deaths attributed to this virus and that's not normal and will cause much anger and retrospective examinations of how we all live and why this might have happened. That's just one country ... then politics will change massively as what was less important becomes uber important and what seemed to ordinary people as issues they could not affect becomes sometjing they demand to see change in ... and politicians race to reflect that. What we see as success i.e. wealth created and held will be challanged like never before and change demanded. Climate change and plundering the earths resources will be challanged even more if there is a proven link between that and this virus. IMHO its all bets off and everything is being ripped up and many things will never be the same or planned the same again. There will be opportunities to right very entrenched wrongs and there will be an appetite for that I am certain. As for my orgiginal question r.e. billionaires and multi-billionaires then its not communisim ... its just needs must in these extrodinary times ... they can stll be rich, they will still be allowed to acculate wealth maybe ... but the minute we just all need what they have, a few have it and many need it, simple really.
