Why? When we play the 4-2-3-1 system properly (which we have shown we can do several times) we are playing with four attackers when we’re attacking. Depending on where the ball is at the time you have either the two wide men or the player in the hole supporting the central striker. It’s a flexible and fluid formation and that’s why it’s been a successful system for us and others.
The problem we have right now is we aren’t using the system effectively.
When has Danny Lloyd ever played centre forward in his career?
