For all the bad times during their tenure if Mark Stott delivers on what he promises do we owe them a smidgeon of gratitude? From the interview it sounded like they'd being trying to get Stott on board for a couple of years whilst fending off other less genuine interest. From our side of the fence that led to frustration at the length of rumoured takeover talks when in fact they were genuinely making sure they got the right man for Stockport County.
My personal view is that our troubles started when we fell out of favour with BK & then we were led by a succession of failures. The failures under Park & Bramhall are well documented but the rot had set in long before them.
I found the booing of Richard Park at the parade celebration particularly uncomfortable. We as a fanbase had plenty of opportunity to voice our displeasure but apart from the odd isolated incident we largely took our decline on the chin. I felt that a day of celebration wasn't the right place to vent any displeasure.
The fact they've both stayed on in non executive positions shows to me they're both fans at heart when they could of walked away from any further potential abuse.
They may have overseen our darkest hours & no doubt there's things they could of done better & things they might not be forgiven for but i hope we can all move on now together & look forward to a brighter future & i hope both Park & Bramhall are welcome at E.P. as fellow fans.....(puts tin hat on)
