Absolutely correct Sir. How remiss of me to forget The Silly Day to Shrewsbury and went to R.A.F. Shawbury to observe the last visit of the iconic Vulcan Bomber.
A lot of research went into this trip and a quite arduous March to the base was required. (Should have got a couple of cabs!) but it was with it as the boozer The Fox & Hounds had a beer garden where we watched a stunning display from the legendary British Aircraft.
A coincidence was that ex R.A.F. Rick Ebberage who was like everyone else on the trip as a County fan and had absolutely no idea where he would be revisiting his old pub/air base. He was convinced it was some sort of practical joke but it honestly wasn’t!
Frat day out though.
