I've been a football fan all my life, nearly 80 years. I've been grounds were there over 80,000 fans squashed in, the majority standing. Sometimes you couldn't see the game and of course some fans got squashed. After the Hillsborough disaster the authorities brought in all seater stadiums for the higher leagues. Now some of the newer supporters are insisting on standing. They think that they can get a better view. WRONG. They also lack
copnsideration for those who are elderly or
disabled who wish to see all of the game. So I
ask if you are one of those who wish to stand
please consider those who cannot and sit down.
