…mind you ‘The Junior Adswood Fighting Plate’ was well revered by all that were involved when the balloon went up and was awarded on a regular basis back in the 60’s (1967/68 season holding the record for 12 Ambulances in attendance in a fixture between Adswood Probationers XI v Borstallers 2nd XI)…but has since been deemed as ‘un-woke’ and consigned to the bowels of Stockport Town Hall…where it keeps good company with the original ‘Edder of the Year Trophy’ The original Dosser Jacket presumed lost by Captain Beefheart whilst inebriated in France.
Apparently it was returned to Stockport Council by a bemused Monsieur some 40 years ago but considered too volatile an item to be let back loose in the public domain…I may have said too much!!
