Don't lose Saturday and it's been a excellent start to the season despite tonight.
The two teams were miles apart in more ways than one tonight.
Like I said get something Saturday and it's as good a start as anyone could of hoped for

No chance!…such a prestigious trophy never existed.

…mind you ‘The Junior Adswood Fighting Plate’ was well revered by all that were involved when the balloon went up and was awarded on a regular basis back in the 60’s (1967/68 season holding the record for 12 Ambulances in attendance in a fixture between Adswood Probationers XI v Borstallers 2nd XI)…but has since been deemed as ‘un-woke’ and consigned to the bowels of Stockport Town Hall…where it keeps good company with the original ‘Edder of the Year Trophy’ The original Dosser Jacket presumed lost by Captain Beefheart whilst inebriated in France.
Apparently it was returned to Stockport Council by a bemused Monsieur some 40 years ago but considered too volatile an item to be let back loose in the public domain…I may have said too much!!

That’s as may be Deeds, but legend has it a 1962/63 pre-season friendly between Adswood u5’s and Gorsey Bank u5’s ended in mayhem with game being abandoned after 4 minutes when parents began scuffling on the sidelines, it is alleged that a Gentleman named Bert ‘The Drink’ accused a Gorsey Bank parent who went by the name of ‘Tapped’ Tony of wearing trousers that had shrunk in the wash leaving his calfs over exposed “Oy mate! Yer cat’s died, you’re wearing your strides at half-mast!”
The Gorsey Bank resident quite rightly took umbridge to the slur resulting in him ‘snotting’ anyone within range. All hell broke loose and a total of 17 onlookers were ferried to Stockport Infirmary…so to imply tat there were no injuries couldn’t be further from the truth I’m afraid.

I was actually pleased to see Cena (think that's who it was) get a yellow card within 5 minutes of the second half for putting a couple of challenges in. Something that was sadly lacking in the first 45.

He was good that player. Bruno Cina from Colchester United junior set up.
Has scored 5 goals in 5 games for County Academy.
Put himself about well for a youngster.

I agree, was just remembering his first challenge when he threw himself into the wide player, was looking at the man all the time, experience will teach him to look at the ball whilst still taking the man out 😂. Don’t make it so easy for the ref

DC actually mentioned this in his interview and was actually applauding him for 'getting stuck in' and said he wished others had done so.
I did like the look of this lad albeit we didn't see anything of him in and around penalty area. Could be one for the future but shame the players he roughed up didn't include Travis!!

Now last night’s dust has settled.Little concerned with the result,more worried if we get anymore injuries we really might struggle.Threadbare at this stage of the season is a huge concern.
