I watch both shows and the UK version is much better simply due to Lee Mack's gentle warmth.
Jeffries - see below is abrasive and sometimes rude and not funny.
This is true in so many shows-

'The Chase Australia' is not so bad but

Tipping Point, in which publicity advertises the contestants as Masterminds FFS

Mastermind itself where half the contestants belong on Tipping Point

plus recent and very bad rip offs of 8 out of 10 cats and Taskmaster.

Pointless Australia was the worst of all. Condensed to 30 mins they did not give you the other answers to save time and the Osman guy some self important doctor came out with things like

'The canary Islands -where canaries come from'

In balance we have Jeopardy Australia made in UK which is hosted by UK's Stephen Fry and is truly awful- the slowest show ever. Not a patch on Alex Trebek or even Ken Jennings
