This is the first time the motor got hot, I've used it everyday so far checking each job, No problems at all.
It could be everything that has been said already, But the carpet was pretty thick to start with, This was a million dollar home in Tampa.
I'm Glad gary is having the same problem, A little less sweat there, Gary and I are usually on the same page and agree for the most part on what's going on in the industry.
We also run the exact same truck mount everyday, But I have to admit I really love this RV, The brush head is a total bomb and does an amazing job.
I have metal shoes on my standard head and it does leaves the carpet to damp for my taste, So I havent been using that head much.
I have ordered the teflon glides for the standard head just waiting on them to come in, I dont know if gary is using the metal shoes or not, But there is a difference between the too of them.
Not even running 4 to the door, Just standard 2 inch all the way to the truck my dry times are pretty dang good, An airpath is golden from that point on.
Im guessing around 2 to 3 hours max on most jobs, Several have been less than that, Depends on type of carpet.
When the new glides come in I'll start using the standard head for a while and check on what it can do, So far pretty happy with it.
I've hit several that were upstairs, I just smile its so easy to pick up and move where you need it, That last video I needed 150 ft of hose completed 4 bedrooms upstairs in main house, Then we had to pull all that out and go up a garage apt that was also a 150ft run to finish the job.
I thought the carpet needed the brush myself, But in all fairness I dont have the experience on the standard head yet anyway, That will be something to play with.
Gary you mentioned speed, Most of that was for video only, I would have started my dry passes sooner but the video was rolling,
I'm trying to add video's to my you tube account so I was trying to look good, I also have a armory of tools to choose from, I'm using the RV for me mostly.
If I can maintain quality across the board and make it a lot easier on me then I'm all over it, I'm stuck in this business for another 20 years and after doing 34 years already my body is telling me to do something else.
So this will keep me cleaning for years to come, If it works out, That's why I'm on this pretty hard so far I'm pretty happy,
Lets see what the life span of the machine works out to be, Hot motors get me worried.
The machine is just so light to work with and gets into tight areas very nice, I havent broke a sweat since I started using it, Granted the weather has been in the middle 70's for the last two weeks, Im sure that will change but it has been great to work with
