Am I the only one that agrees that it is time for a movie about Jim Reeves?

PBS has produced mini series (Profiles) on Charlie Pride, George Jones, and others.
I suggested exactly what you propose now, a while back.
It is long overdue.
A documentary on Jim Reeves is necessary, not only because it is timely and deserved, but because of the disgraceful way he was slighted in the Ken Burns PBS alleged history of Country Music.
Burns series was incomplete and disgraceful.
Reeves influence, and the spread of "The Nashville Sound" worldwide is surely deserving of a feature production.
Previous documentaries on Reeves, the tribute albums in existence, and the number of artists today that admire his voice, should make production relatively easy.
Not to mention information available in the "Untold Story".
Elton John, Sissel, and Daniel O'Donnell come to mind as Reeves fans in the modern era. I'm sure there are more.
Jim Reeves following is still strong if YouTube postings are an indicator.
What individual, group, or entity, could get this moving?

I agree with everything Robert said. I felt this way for many years. Somehow Jim has never gained the recognition that Johhny Cash, Patsy Cline or some other country stars have gained. Just about everyone I know has heard of Johnny and Patsy, but they have no idea who Jim is. Hard to believe this is possible. Jim was the first international country star and was the first, with the help of Chet Atkins, to develope the "Nashville Sound" and he had many top ten hits on the country charts 20 years after his death. Why have these achievements not been recognized as much as they should be?...

It is long past time for a documentary and a movie about Jim. Those should have been done when people who knew Jim personally were still around to be interviewed. Now, there is hardly anyone left who knew him.
I do fear that either a documentary or a movie would not be well done. I think it would require people who are genuine admirers of Jim's music and the list of film makers who are Jim Reeves lovers is short. Larry should be involved. I would prefer no doc or movie if it won't meet the highest standard. And I'd be hard to please.
