Bob.. I was curious too about the location of these photos from the German Bear 16 CD set once you mentioned it.

After a lot of searching I did find a common answer from several sites. Here I will quote directly what I found and seems reasonable.

Quote..."While the box set itself was manufactured and published in Germany by Bear Family Records, the archival pictures were sourced from American career archives, personal estates, and historical collections rather than being photographed in Germany".

Hope this answers your question Bob. But to Nerd out a bit more, Dr. Watson just pointed out to me (lol) that the quote does not say specifically that the photos used were for both the book and CD covers, but I must assume they were for both or this detail would surely have been stated.

And Mike, what is your conclusion who the woman is with Jim on the golf cart. The more I look at it, not only the hair doesn't seem right, the face as well. I can find nothing on this photo at all. Anyone else want to jump in with their opinion. Thank you to all !!
