Bob and Lyle, I certainly commend you both for yours efforts to get Jim and his music recognized by more people today because, in my opinion, good quality music does not even exist anymore. I have seen the Burns country music documentary from beginning to end and did enjoy the footage that was there, but of course, I agree that it wasn't even close to being a quintessential documentary on country music, especially with the lack of recognition for Jim. I have also seen the Burns documentary of Baseball and thought it was one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. And I know it was accurate and complete because my older brother Gary was a huge baseball fan all his life and he found nothing inaccurate about it. The Burns Civil War documentary was also excellent. Why then did he present such a shabby presentation on country music? I'll never understand it...
