I guess it's my age (76) because I wanted to mention my second choice song in my last post, but forgot.

Song #8 "C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S" (I believe co-written by Eddie Arnold) is simply for me the best version ever recorded thanks to Jim's understanding of how this song should be interpreted. In particular how he phrases and with perfect timing while holding the last two words "Christmas Day" is simply perfection. Gets me every time...just as if the earth stopped rotating until the words are complete.

I can only hope others have the same feeling and opinion as I have found in this wonderful song.. Thank you Jim !!

PS.. Thank you Robert for mentioning the Roger Miller song "Old Toy Trains". Rogers version is simply a treasure for us, with its innocence and clever family values, something we are sadly missing of late...
