We see Jim and three microphones. Looking at the picture there seem to be 2 Neumann U-47's (a short body clearly visible, and a long body behind it), and what seems to be a dynamic (can't make out the brand).
I suppose this is a picture from Studio B (where they used the U-47 on a lot of recordings, but if I remember correctly it was not called studio B at that time, but that's not why I'm posting here).
Do we know more about these microphones? Like why add a dynamic microphone?
I also thought I read that Jim recorded a lot of his songs with an RCA ribbon microphone... So why or when did he start using the Neumann microphones for recording?
