It is great the way it was arranged in chronological order, from the beginning of his career right up to the end. You could see the progression of that great voice, always good but through the years it got even better!
One time when we were together in Jim's home I asked him if he could sing in the high notes yet as well as the lowest of low. He said "Yes, he could". Mary said it just got mellower with age. I said "Like cheese". She said "Exactly" and we had a laugh about that, comparing Jim's voice to aging cheese.
Thank you, Larry, and Good Music for putting together all these rare DVD appearances of Jim. I just wish we would have been allowed to bring our big old 8-track player to the Flame Cafe in February 1964 where Jim put on 3 shows every night for a week and we were there! Just think how rare that would be now. But the Flame wouldn't let us. Jim didn't care, but they did.
Always for Jim, Doris
