Mike, I think you are alluding to what I thought about some of those songs. Jim Reeves realized a few of those songs were good songs, they just needed to be recorded differently. "Waltzing On Top Of The World" is probably the best example. Another one is "Padre Of Old San Antone", which I believe he re-recorded for the "God Be With You" lp (I hope I have that right). I popped one of the Abbott Tapes cd's in the player and did so much skipping of songs. Seriously, who needs to hear 4 versions of "Wagonload of Love", in a row?
