Seems most of our close family and friends were in on a surprise planned for me while I sat stewing in my juice about my partner not able to be here.

Our condo is quite nice. Whatever one chooses to call it, our screen room/sun room/lanai was enclosed with ceiling to floor hurricane glass with sliding doors last year, all new wicker patio furniture and blinds purchased, expensive additions but well worth it in the extra living space it afforded.

The one thing missed was an outdoor patio area. We had the space between us and our next door neighbor available (who has a really nice one) but it was filled with flowering trees. They were beautiful, but only for about two weeks, the rest of the time, they would shed leaves until they were bare and the process would begin again. Clearing the downed leaves fell on me since they were not on common property. I'd fanaticize about finding enough clearing between them to lay a few patio blocks to enable some sort of BBQ. Clearing the entire area an undertaking more expensive to expect in such a short period of time since the last major project and still some lesser inside projects that needed to be done.

When I was messaged a picture last nite, I thought it was photoshopped. I couldn't believe what I was seeing! My new patio! Still to be added a border of low growing bushes to enclose it already on order.
