Things are anything but dull around here but it's not the kind of activity that I welcome. My other half has suddenly and unexpectedly found himself embroiled in community politics and by default, myself as well. It has resulted not only in 8 hour days on the grounds taking care of business but people showing up at our door and hour long phone calls when he's home. I'll be heading north shortly but he cannot leave with me nor can he anticipate with any certainty when things will be settled down enough to leave. Our most important community service contracts have all been switched to new vendors and staff at the same time..all commencing next week which is challenging enough to ensure a smooth transition.
