I have been doing some shopping online and on TV. I saw a cooking show called America's Test Kitchen and they were preparing Tuscan Shrimp and Beans. It was late at night and I hoped to remember the recipe. Then they said their cookbook was for sale for $19.99 with every recipe from all 20 years of their TV shows, and I knew I had to have it. I hadn't caught the ordering address so I looked for it on Amazon, and found it there for $50. I checked with Barnes and Noble, it was $50. So I searched online til I found America's Test Kitchen Cookbook on their website, and bought it at their amazing price of $19.99. It was the very same edition as the others. The book was out of stock, I was told I'd have to wait for another printing at the end of May, but it came the end of April, all 1,200 pages of it. What a book! I bet it weighs 10 lbs. It must have cost them $19.99 just to ship it. It not only has the recipes, but why you need to cook them as you do, a veritable chemistry course. Of course I don't do the cooking anymore due to my back. One day I may get enthusiastic enough to fix something, but it makes me happy just to read it.
I'm going to end here and pick up on another post because I never know when this laptop will get me. See you on Part 2.
