Re: A good deed ... Nancy
I drove my daughter to the new doctor's office on Friday (an hour each way) and walked with her through the immense parking lot and the large clinic, and then to the other side of the building to the lab. I was winded from the strain of it all, and realized how really out of shape a year of staying within the house will make a person. The next day I felt new strength in my legs, I could get up and out of a chair more easily, I could bend more easily, I had less muscle pain and could move faster and longer! I don't think I'm imagining it, I do believe even one day of moving more normally strengthens you! My son keeps me back, wanting me to sit with him all day and watch TV, and that's what I've done for the last year. But I'm determined to do some walking.
