I have three small electric pot-pourri pots that I thought I'd fill with hot water and steam the scented oils. There was a sale from an online company and I couldn't resist, I ended up ordering 9 different scents as I couldn't make up my mind. I just this week tried them.
The first one was called Cedarwood. I guess the name reminded me of a lovely scent in one of the plug-ins called Sandalwood. I thought it might be nice to have my dressing room/bath smell like a sweet-scented forest. Instead what I got was wet dog. I'm so glad I only bought a small size of that one.
This morning I went into the box and pulled out another bottle. They are all carefully individually wrapped for shipping, and I couldn't see the label. Turns out, I had selected Spruce. It was difficult to open it and get the dropper to work; the oils are very powerful so you have to count the drops. This one is a little better, but a little bitter. I am not getting my hoped-for woodland.
The very first scent I bought that came from Bed'n Bath was lavender. And it was OK once you got used to it. My daughter also bought me a lavender from Whole Foods that is better yet. I have 7 more scents unopened in the box, I think one of them is Pine. I am hoping to smell a Christmas tree, but I will probably be happier with the floral scents and Lemongrass and Tea Tree that I have yet to open. And another bottle of Lavender, of course.
