The desk-top I'm using is still the one he set up for me 7 or 8 years ago, but when I got the new Windows 10 laptop I called AOL. I pay them every month for my McAfee (and other benefits I never use), and they installed the necessary programs for me. I know all of you have told me I'm paying them for nothing, but it's OK, I would have to pay for the anti-virus program somewhere anywhere, and this way I get the benefit of their help if and when it's needed. I'm sure Geek Squad would have charged me to set up the laptop, AOL did it for me without extra charge. It's a comfort to know there is someone to call to figure out any problems, fix them if possible, or advise if not. I've also picked up hints from Microsoft themself.
I also have had ultra-excellent help from the Brother Company for my printer, which has connectability issues every time someone sneezes. Their customer service has been wonderful. It makes me sad to hear those of you who were so good at working with your computers are now having problems.
