The Crown Jewel of the CVGDA spring season is the Don Didcoct Amateur Classic. Some last minute judging changes had to be made due to factors too numerous to go through. But at any rate, Chris Bye and Bert Benshoof did a great job looking at all of the contestants over two days and we were happy to have them!
Winner was Northern Slopes Allie (SF) handled by Ed Graddy. Allie ran on the County H course, and tallied a woodcock and grouse. She completely tore apart the last thirty minutes of the course in eye popping appeal. Great job.
Second Place was Northwood Cedar (SF) handled by Lindsey Saetre. I didn't witness this brace, but was told it was a multiple find performance, also on the County H course. Exciting young dog that sparkles on the ground, and on birds.
Third place was Rib River Tough Enough (BM) handled by Roger King on the Gasline Course. Tuffy tallied a tricky woodcock find, inside of a minute off the breakaway, and went on to have a good hour. Fun dog and happy handler! Great job.
