700 million is an astronomical price. For the dodgers, pretty much says they won't sign Buehler this off season. If Ohtani isn't what he was before this 2nd t.j. surgery and ends up no longer pitching at some point during this contract, it's a hell of an overpay for a dh. I'm assuming there is some kind of language in the deal regarding that.
To assure the rest of the CJIBL, Ohtani will not be traded to the Headhunters, regardless of one GM theory that he is now "useless" on my squad. As stated before, Headhunters could offer multiple sp, multiple bats, certain "favors" that may or may not be legal in 25 states, as well as his number 1 picks in perpetuity, and I would turn him down.
The off season is off to an exciting start, let's hope the weeks until the draft are just as exciting.
