When signing a lifetime contract, a no trade clause is put in the contract because it is still Matawan. This is probably the Kiss of Death. I'd expect Ohtani to wave his no trade clause sooner rather than later. Ohtani was heard saying, "I enjoy winning and I want to win." Can that happen in Matawan? Remains to be seen.
