With the announcement that the MLB will adapt a universal DH for the upcoming season many teams may be forced to rethink their approach to that position. In the NL pitchers will no longer have to bat, but the trade-off is that they will be facing tougher lineups. In the AL players who took the field while playing in NL parks will no longer be required to do so thus reducing position eligibility. This should make the 2022 season in the CJIBL even more challenging.
