I think the whole Sussex-saga has made one thing clear: in the 20th century we got used to commoners becoming Royals by marriage. We need the reverse to become an option as well, so in the 21st century we need the option of born Royals becoming commoners in order to lead the life they want to have. For Harry that would mean becoming mister Harry Mountbatten-Windosr, no titles no place in the line of succession. I guess he would be OK with that im not convinced his wife would be. She comes across as someone who wanted to be an HRH, Royal Duchess and princess of the Realm and wasn't looking for some UK average Joe to be her husband.
It quite odd … my guess is that none of us here know Harry or his wife ( can I mention her here ?) . Yet there are so many experts on relationships within families and the media . For the record I am fully aware that he chose to expose his personal feelings to the world ( not many of us can do that ) , he said lotsa stuff that was personal and private and chose to make it public , we have all lapped it up, to approve and pour scorn on him.
I roll my eyes daily at the outrage people feel for him and his actions . Personally , I wouldn’t have done what he did , but he has his reasons and I guess that makes him feel better about that whole business . There is no rule book for his behaviour.
On another note I think ( and I know I am not in the minority here) that his fractured relationship with his brother is sad , his mother would not like it as I am sure his father doesn’t . Please don’t reply to tell me how horrid H&M are and they deserve what they get … James 8:7.
If only.... It seems Mr Harry Windsor of Montecito, California has ardent followers on and off this board...
Did I mess up my calendar? Is it April 1?
