My guess is a full length shot might show breeches, hose, and opera shoes (slippers)?

The Duke of Edinburgh was wearing Court Dress; the first time this had been worn in public since 1939. I wonder what the Duke looked like. Perhaps it was Windsor uniform?

This an image of the Royal Box from that performance. It's a bit unclear as to the outfit the Duke is wearing.
