Yes that was quite extraordinary: giving defunct heads of state precedence. Her jubilee had more remarkable moments. I also recall a rather pompous barge during the Diamond Jubilee Pageant. It looked so theatrical and out of date. It was interesting to see that although Prince Philip started of as a moderniser and QEII went along with several modern experiments, at the end of her reign she got a bit stuck in her ways and in a sense also in time.
