Poor Andy but he will always be guilty by association. He befriended loads of questionable figures throughout his life and topped it up with one of the most notorious pedophiles in the world and what's worse he did not disassociate himself with Epstein when he had the earliest opportunity to do so publicly after his first conviction. Why? Because he either believed everything Epstein and Maxwell said to him or he needed him more than Epstein needed him or he had no problem being around people who surrounded themselves with 15 year old girls and wasn't deterred going to parties were they were present in large numbers. Whatever the legal merits of any case. Shame on him!

On the other hand, if Prince Andrew is in fact exploring grounds for overturning the original suit and settlement, then perhaps his legal representatives have come across sufficient evidence to now allege that the suit itself was a frivolous one - and thus the settlement is also consequently to be challenged. In such a situation, not only can the settlement be legally reversed but the judge hearing the new claim may also decide to fine the original defendant for their "frivolous" claim - another case in point being the judge who this past week fined former Pres. Trump $1 million for filing a "frivolous" and unfounded lawsuit. As far as the rest of what you state about reputations and tarnshishment? In today's world, two years ago is a long time ago, and so "tarnshished" might just be perceptual. Also, a legal settlement is not an "admission of guilt", and the settlement documents always state exactly that too. Interesting meanwhile that Ms. Giuffre remains hidden away somewhere in Australia - possibly with a view to be less accessible to U.S. legal authorities herself. Previous Message
Silly man. Ill advised and stubborn as ever. Even if he was successful in overturning the settlement his reputation is and will remain tarnished for ever. He's a big fool and he's making that case every single time he opens his mouth. The man needs to finally except that he has NO place in the BRF other than on a Christmas Card Mailing List. If I were Charles I would quickly reconsider Andrews current living arrangements at Royal Lodge and tuck him away in some remote country house with his teddy bears and equally strange ex-wife. Prince Andrew is said to be exploring his legal options to overturn the settlement he made with Virginia Giuffre. One reason for this is the fact that Ms. Giuffre has aknowledged that she wrongfully accused Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz of sexual abuse. I have no idea whether or not Prince Andrew committed the acts Ms. Giuffre said he did. I do, however, think that the reports in the media of the size of his settlement with her were probably way off the mark (note that this piece in the Times said that the amount was likely closer to £3 million than to the much-ballyhooed figure of £12 million); and also that he was forced by royal advisors (probably with the acquiescence of his family) to come to a settlement rather than let the case come to court. There were a number of reasons why this appears to have been the case, not least of which was the timing with respect to the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee, and the fact that he was up against an American trial lawyer with fantastic political connections on the Democratic side and a ferocious reputation. Ms. Giuffre did not appear eager to have the case go to court either, which may tell us something about the quality of the evidence she had to offer.
