The Sussexes have announced a new Netflix project called "Live to Lead" and New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has been "blind-sided" by the announcement. Ardern is one of several people to be featured in the series, which appears to be a production of the Nelson Mandela Foundation which has now been licensed to the Sussexes' production company. Ardern was indeed interviewed for the series, but did so back in 2019 when asked to do so by the Mandela Foundation. She has issued a statement saying did not know she would be featured in the Sussexes' 2022 film. This article notes that, as a Commonwealth Prime Minister, Ardern would probably not have accepted an invitation to take part in the project so as not to appear to take sides against King Charles, the Head of the Commonwealth.
