Previous Message If tradition is to predominate at the new king's coronation then all the talk of modernising and streamlining the ceremony is simply a lot of hot air. Why should a female consort continue to be crowned when her male predecessor, who fulfilled that role for longer than any other consort in history, was not? Why not continue to crown our queens consort and also crown any future kings consort, which is what we ought to have with the succession law being absolute primogeniture now?
