I understand the point....but, any time you get in a car I'd say the odds are even more than 3 in a hundred you can get killed by another driver.
59,000 in U.S. died of the flu last year vs. 1,246 so far. Estimates I have seen so far is carno has only a 1.4% death rate in the U.S.
Even if they cure this completely, there will never be any analogy where we can be sure those 100 Skittles are safe. We might not think about it, but I'd say most people do things everyday or often that are much riskier.
If we were this risk adverse we should close down every bar in the world as I can bet the odds are much higher someone is driving a one ton piece of metal without a clear head.
Plus, end all sporting events, such as pro wrestling, because the odds are great in a large gathering there will be people with the flu, colds, even HIV and many other diseases.
I just think the risk to our country's economic existence is much higher than this virus.
