They don't know! That's the thing, it's totally unknown at this point either way, and won't be known for years. In China some who survived it now have 30% less lung capacity, and get tired fast just walking down the block. Will they bounce back? Nobody knows yet. Yes, I'm sure some, or even a lot, of those ones with lung issues now had some other previous condition, but is it all? Nobody knows yet. That's the key.
I am just saying we've had as bad or worse epidemics before and we haven't closed the world.
This is the worst one in 100 years, and we're just in the thick of it now. None of us have had anything like this in our lifetimes, in uncharted waters. Aids was super scary when it first began, but even that wasn't like this.
As I do feel this is a lot to do with politics
It shouldn't have ANYTHING to do with politics, but yes very sadly is does. Here's the thing, Republicans are people, Democrats are people, Chinese are people. We're all in the same boat on this and need to work together with no political agenda. Of course there will be disagreements on what the best course of action is, but still, the politics make it worse.
I propose the Jecky Doctrine. If you are scared, stay home. If you want to get out, go to work, and live your life, go, but you do give up any rights to get immediate treatment if you get sick from this virus. Just sign a form at your place of employment that you acknowledge this and you hold nobody else responsible.
Well, here's the problem with that. I saw this thing saying if 90% of people will stay at home for a few weeks this thing will go away pretty fast, if 80% stay at home, it'll go away, but slower, if 70% stay home, it won't go away, if 50% stay at home, it's gonna get worse. It needs to be the same rules for everyone across all the states, not different from state to state. It sucks, everyone knows it sucks, but the way to get a handle on it is to strictly separate for the short term. The song was genius and hilarious BTW!!!
