Which one would you choose and why:
Accent on Achievement, Sound Innovations, Habits.
Tired of EE.

We've used habits for 2 years. We will be going back to EE2000. EE2000 is a good starting point.
Started my career with the OG Ed Sueta books. Actually still my favorite book for how it was structured with Lessons and several lines using what is taught in the lesson. We used book 1 and 2 for beginners. Most students were ready for book 2 around Christmas.

Can I ask what you don't like about EE? That makes a difference as to what would work better for you.

We've been using Sound Innovations since 2019. Before then I was an EE person (first the OG purple book then 2000 when it came out). I changed because of the same reason. But, remember the book is just a guide. A launching point. We supplement like crazy. Most of it is self-written stuff. Once we get five notes down and whole/half/quarter notes/rest, we start working more on "real music", as the kids cal it (as if there is "fake music"). This is where we teach most of our concepts. We eventually use the book for only new notes and concepts that are not introduced in the "real music".

If you have homogenous classes, I would suggest Musical Mastery. It has really helped my teaching and understanding the different instruments and their individual problems.

It's harder to incorporate as a unison and doesn't include songs, although you could purchase the song book. I don't have experience with that yet but plan to get it for next year and see how it works out for us.

As far as the books you have listed, although EE gets old after decades of using it...it is the most straightforward and easy to follow for our students.

I've been using Playlists for Band (the Musical Mastery song book) and love it. There are play along tracks. Best part is that you print as much as needed.

We have been using Habits for the last few years. I like that it introduces concepts and then sticks with them in the following lines.

I do miss all the little extras in the Tradition of Excellence, improv, composition, etc. But I felt that there was a lot of "noise" on the pages of that book
