I have a good friend that moved from band director to principal and has kept his membership. he was a band director for 20 years and a principal from 18 years. He is still an active jusge after being retired from all education for at least 8 years.

If you get inviations to judge and go to the classes, i dont see why you cant maintain active status. I would ask someone.
