Probably. I was a TMAA active member and became a school principal and got eliminated from membership at renewal time because I was no longer a band director and did not retire as a band director... could not resubmit my ratings every round... That's what TMAA leadership told me then, but you should go become a Fine Arts Director because I think you can keep your membership active that way. I've seen several of those.
