I see nothing beyond shoe and shirts that the kids might need to pay for. If the budget doesn't allow for the other, then it's not necessary. My charts off the shelf, cancel masterclasses and clinicians, do away with techs, and write your own drill. I know none of that is ideal, but it is necessary to be inclusive. I would have never been in band if my parents were asked to pay that.
