...too many people in this thread think it is perfectly OK to not hold people accountable for their actions...and then try to justify it.

The kid has been carrying this non-payment for two years, and this is prior to any hardship at the house. The parents have a history of non-payment, again before any hardship.

People here talk about not being in the "real world". Well, in the real world, how long does a creditor wait before turning a debt over to a collection agency, and hitting the credit report? They don't wait two years.
