In the happy-go-lucky toxic positivity dream world, sure. In reality, no. When we see an inner city program beat Vandegrift or Hebron then sure. Until then, there are many social and economic barriers that would make this scenario highly unlikely regardless of who's in front of their kids. In fact, I'd argue the people who've actually taught in these environments would be the first to recognize that fact. I've taught in semi-rural and suburban title 1 schools. I've also taught in wealthy Austin suburbs. They are NOT the same. I put in 10 times the effort in the title 1 schools and didn't come close to get the results. And most of it had nothing to do with me or most of the kids. Because we live in reality.
