In your situation I think it is time to move on. The fight is not worth it. I have a friend who went to a school and was the head director there and had the same experience as you. He left that position and took a new head job after two years of crazy and life at the new school is great. Staying at this school and trying to wait it out is going to suck the life out of you. It is ok to take a new job.
