It's so varied, it's hard to tell what's a good percentage against other schools because Smallish is right, region gets dominated by the reclassified, wealthier schools. Often you'll see the top bands are from kids with at least two directors that can do private lessons during band, a dedicated class period to working on region, sectionals after school that can go as far as 8 pm, and/or private lessons with professional musicians.

I'd say use statistics from your own band. How does this percentage compare to last year and the year before? Are more kids willing to audition now? What about marching contest and concert and sight reading? I've seen plenty of bands with very few region band spots that have dominated honor band and OPS.
